- The lineage of Mohamed Kaban (nisba) is disputed between those that link him to the Mahas as the son of 'Ajim (see page 253 of Richard A Lobban Jr. "A Genealogical and Historical Study of the Mahas of the "Three Towns," Sudan" and that which links him to the Gaalieen as some of Bidair ibn Dahmash. See Ref 1.
